M.Ct.M Chidambaram Chettyar Matriculation School was started in June 1981, in memory of Late Shri M.Ct.M. Chidambaram Chettyar.
Smt. Sivagami Pethachi was the Founder Correspondent of the School. Her earnest wish was that the School should be a unique institution in the city of Chennai – a School with a difference. She was always keen that the children of the School should not only excel in the academic field but also imbibe India’s rich cultural heritage – besides acquiring proficiency in co-curricular activities, games and sports.
